About Jordan

When I was seventeen-years-old I asked my parents for a camera for Christmas. A humble plea coming from a family of modest means. Instead of the camera, my parents offered a gift card with as much as they could afford. Undeterred, I went to work at an auto shop sweeping floors and eventually saved up enough money to buy an entry level DSLR. I was so excited to be able to take pictures of my band so we didn’t have to pay someone else to do it. However, my enthusiasm overlooked a crucial detail – the challenge of juggling a guitar and a camera simultaneously.

Fast forward about ten years and I found myself diving head first into another passion: the world of culinary and libations. I started serving tables at a cool little gastropub conveniently nestled about 15 minutes from my apartment. (The natural progression of an aspiring musician.)

I convinced the owner of that cool little gastropub to let me take over social media. This kickstarted my career into food and beverage photography. It was one of the best opportunities I’ve ever received. Since then, I've had the honor of collaborating with visionary chefs and spirited bartenders, each encounter a testament to the boundless creativity within the culinary world.

When I’m not shooting food, I enjoy going birding with my friends. These moments of communion with nature serve as poignant reminders of the serendipity of existence on this giant spherical rock. I also love to cook, but ironically rarely take pictures of my dishes with anything other than my iPhone. My other passions include motorsports, cycling, cultivating plants, collecting vinyl records, fishing, cinema, playing guitar, and the occasional video game session.

Thanks for taking an interest in my journey. I love storytelling and would be privileged with the opportunity to help tell yours.
